STAYING INFORMED
Government Flexibility Clause
The government reserves the right to amend or close schemes early.
If this happens, they will:
Aim to provide 4 weeks’ notice
Honour claims made before public announcement (subject to eligibility)
What This Means in Practice
2026/27 is the final year of the current grant structure
Funding increases to £500 per socket for most schemes
Some grants close permanently in March 2026
A new digital platform changes how applications and claims are managed
Installers must stay organised and ahead of deadlines
The overall intention is to simplify the grant system while maintaining support for homes, landlords, businesses and education providers during the transition.
